As we look forward to an awesome new year of Youth Ministry at BRPC, here are some updates!

Youth Minister Update

Session has unanimously approved expanding the Youth Minister job into a full-time posi- tion! The job description is being prayerfully reviewed and revised, and we anticipate that a search committee will be formed during September. We are grateful for your prayers and for suggestions of individuals you believe have the gifts to serve on the youth minister search committee. Please share those names with Karen Johnson, Theresa Creedon, or Dennis Jones.

Along with pursuing the long-term plan to hire a full-time Director of Youth Ministries, we have been actively planning for an exciting and memorable year of youth ministry. The exciting details are below:

Princeton Seminary Student Intern

We are blessed to have Princeton Seminary student Jordan Goodwin join us for the year ahead! Jordan comes to us with great enthusiasm and a heart for student ministries, and will be leading our Middle School programs with the support of our volunteer advisors. We warmly welcome Jordan and all Middle School students for the start of a meaningful year! Jordan’s official start date is Sunday, September 11.

Middle School Fellowship

All 6-8th graders are welcomed to bring friends and meet in the Youth Center every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. We will start the evening with dinner, followed by games, activities, discussion and some fun outings throughout the year. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 14.

Bibles and Bagels

Students in grades 6-8 meet in the Church House Library on Sunday mornings after the 10:15 a.m. worship service Children’s Message, except for Communion Sundays (the 1st Sunday of each month) where the students can attend worship for the whole hour. Our first meeting will be Sunday, September 18.

Youth Music

Led by Chris Fortin, all students in grades 6-12 are invited to explore using their musical and other talents in service to God. We meet Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 14.

Confirmation Class

The Confirmation program, led by Maureen Paterson and mentors Tom Eicher and Chris Whitlock, prepares 9th grade students to become full
adult members of the congregation. Students learn more about their relationship with God, what it means to be Presbyterian and how they can be involved in the church community. Our first dinner meeting for students and families will be held on Sunday October 2 at 5:00 p.m. in the Church House parlor.

Senior High Fellowship

Our volunteer High School Advisors (Gary Ingram, Josh Felter, Steve Thomas, Jake Bou- dreau, and Michelle Ortega) in partnership with our senior highs and with the support of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry Council, will lead the students in activities and fellowship events this upcoming year. Our schedule, which is being created with heavy student input, is in the works and will be posted as it is finalized. Stay tuned for more!
