The generosity of so many at BRPC continues to be amazing! Thank you to everyone who helped make our special Christmas mission giving opportunities so successful. Due to the overwhelming support of so many we received an additional $1,880.00 to support many of our existing mission partners through our Alternative Giving program. Thank you to members of the mission council and other church members who attended the Homespun Holiday event at Bishop Janes Methodist Church as well as offered these gifts in Westminster Hall after worship.

As always we loaded our Giving Tree with tags for many mission partners – thank you to Amanda Hughes for once again making all of these tags and helping to distribute gifts. This year our tree was fuller than ever and yet all of the needs were met. Thanks to your generosity we collected 130 gifts cards for clients of God’s Co-op Food Pantry – a total of $3,250.00; supported a local family in need with gifts of clothing and games valuing more than $700; supported clients of Homeless Solutions with gift cards totaling $800; delivered $500 worth of new socks and underwear to women leaving prison as well as 30 bags of clothing, (thanks to Ellen Greenhorn and Jean Smith, for sorting through all the donated clothing, and Chuck and Betsy Miller for delivering the clothing) and collected diapers and wipes for Interfaith Hospitality Network with a value of $150. All of this is over and above the monies allocated to the mission budget from our operating budget and we are so deeply grateful to everyone who played a part in making this such an amazing Christmas for all of these individuals and mission partners.
