A Prayer Vigil is a time for a community of believers to come together to exercise the power of prayer. At this time, our world is in desperate need of healing. Political crises in Ukraine, Gaza and Israel tear at the fabric of world peace. Medical crises of Ebola in Africa and hunger throughout much of the world cause horrible suffering. In our own community, illness, both chronic and acute, challenges families and the community. During the Prayer Vigil for Healing in the World, we will ask God for His help in mediating these calamities.
We invite your participation—whether you would like to come alone, seeking the serenity and solace of the chapel or as part of a group such as Deacons, Young Adults, Families, etc. Individuals, groups or families may participate by signing up for a 30 or 60 minute time slot in the chapel below. You may also participate from your own home. The Prayer Vigil will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 18and end at 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 19.
Our goal is to have at least two participants throughout the 24 hour vigil. If you are unable to come to the chapel, you may join us from your home: God will hear you wherever you are.
