The Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge has a long history of handbells. Our Whitechapel handbells (made in England) were purchased in the 1950's. Considering that handbell ringing was scattered across the United States in the early 1950’s – our church was on the cutting edge.
We continue to maintain this strong tradition by offering several opportunities to ring handbells. The Alpha Bell Choir and Knox Bell Choir play a variety of music and ring regularly in worship and special services.
The Alpha Bell Choir is made up of Youth and Adult ringers. Ability to read music is important, but prior handbell experience is not required.
