The Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church, a welcoming, vibrant, and growing congregation of 750 members, is seeking an Interim Director of Ministry to Children and Their Families. This person, working in partnership with the Children and Family Ministries Council of our Session, provides leadership and inspiration in support of God’s call for our church to embrace and minister to children and their families. Programming currently includes weekly Sunday School, mid-week education and fellowship opportunities, children and family special events, and Summer Vacation Bible School, encouraging nurture of faith and active participation in the life of Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church. Start date for this position is January 8, 2018. There is some flexibility in the schedule and hours, ideally targeting the 20 – 30-hour range. Candidates should have a strong and sincere Christian faith, a love for children, leadership abilities, and experience working with children age birth through 5th grade.
Important responsibilities include recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, collaboration with other church staff, ministering to the families of our children, and bringing leadership and vision to our programming.
