the fleeting assurance
of possessions,
achievements,
power
and human glory.

We long for your wisdom Lord.
The transforming wisdom
of grace and acceptance.
Not the teaching of our world
sowing seeds
of fear,
division,
hatred
and human control.

We long for your wisdom Lord,
The radical wisdom
of service and submission.
Not the self-seeking of our world
creating systems
of injustice,
intolerance,
inequality
and human domination.

Grant us your wisdom,
renew us with your knowledge
so we may transform your world.
