For children age 3 through grade 5, we offer programs that build faith in the knowledge of God and the fellowship of God’s community. We offer an exciting, interactive Sunday School program along with mid-week enrichment activities.

Acolytes light the candles before the 10 am worship service on Sundays. It’s an important job and we would love everyone to be involved. You just need to come at 9:40 am, and we will show you what to do. Thank you!

Building Faith at the Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge
We believe the primary goal of Sunday School is to raise children in the knowledge of God and fellowship of God’s community. Faith needs Scripture to help it grow, because there is no comprehension and meaning without content. At the Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge, the Bible lies at the heart of all our programming.
Sunday School – 10:00 am, Sundays
Children (age 3-grade 5) begin in worship in the Sanctuary with their families. After the Message for Children, children are invited to attend our Sunday School.
A variety of learning techniques help children learn about their faith while having an enjoyable experience incorporating games, music, stories and art. Parents may meet their children after the worship service.

The Agape Hour is for children ages Preschool-Kindergarten and will be held weekly on Tuesdays at 3:45-4:30 pm in the Agape room in the Church House youth center on the lower level. You may enter through the Youth Center door on the Finley Ave. side or go down the stairway in the middle of the building. This program includes a Bible story, snack, craft, music and movement. Parents are welcome to stay and relax in the Youth Center or drop off and run some errands. Please register below, but there is no need to sign up weekly.
Monthly Art & Bible Class. Â This class will be held the 3rd Tuesday of the month for children aged 1st grade – 5th grade. We will be incorporating an Art Lesson in conjunction with a Bible Verse. We will use a variety of Art Materials and techniques. This runs from 5:00- 5:45 pm.
Monthly Family Potluck Dinner — On the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:45-6:30 pm in Westminster Hall. We welcome ALL our Preschool and Art & Bible families to join us for our Family Potluck Dinner. This is a great way to meet new families and a chance for Fellowship and breaking bread together. We ask families to provide 1 main dish to share and either a side dish or dessert.

The Nursery located near the Sanctuary, is open Sunday mornings during the 10:00 worship service for ages 2 years and younger. The church has two fully vaccinated caregivers to take care of your precious little ones. The nursery features a diaper station and a sink. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the service from the nursery as it is live streamed each week. Newcomers are always welcome. If you have any questions about the nursery, contact Stacy Currie.
VBS will be August 3-7, M-F, 9 am – 11:30 am each day. (Ages: 3 years–5th grade)
The theme is “At the Table.”
