Thanks to everyone who was able to make it on Thanksgiving. We had a strong showing of over twenty BRPC volunteers and friends, spurred on by Reverend Jones’s inspiring words, who helped make quick work of the delivery of nearly 300 meals. We also sent leftovers to a homeless shelter in Elizabeth. In addition BRPC members donated 13 turkeys– a strong showing!

We are considering serving a sit-down meal next year in addition to the deliveries. This is something that we used to do many years ago. Please let me know if you would be interested in participating in such an event (probably 11:30 to 2). It could be a very meaningful way to share a meal with those less fortunate, but may also interfere with family commitments. This would not be a firm commitment, but simply a gauge of interest.
