To follow God’s call to provide food for the hungry in our community

OUR PRIORITY:  To assist the food insecure people in the Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, and Peapack-Gladstone area. We turn no one away. We primarily serve three distinct and growing populations: veterans living on the grounds of the VA Hospital, local senior citizens, and our underserved Hispanic neighbors

OUR LOCATION: We are located at the Good Shepherd Church in Bernardsville. The services of the pantry are offered to those people in the area who are living below the poverty level.

 

ABOUT US

  • God’s Co-op Pantry opened in June 2011 as a mission to feed hungry neighbors in Bernardsville, Basking Ridge and Peapack-Gladstone and other neighboring communities.
  • Since then, the number of individuals served has grown from 50 to nearly 800. The number of families has grown from less than 100 to over 340.
  • Currently volunteers prepare over 6000 bags of food for distribution to our clients each year.
  • Food and support comes from:
    • Community Food Bank of New Jersey (free, reduced price)
    • Local Food Drives by individuals and civic organizations
    • Generous Individual Donors
    • Support from local Churches
    • Shoprite (purchased)
    • Food Bank of Somerset County
    • Local farms
