A new Lunch and Learn Group will meet on alternate Tuesdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Washington House restaurant in Basking Ridge beginning on February 2. The group will discuss The Relevance of Religion by John Danforth, an ordained Episcopal priest, former U.S. senator and ambassador to the United Nations. The book details the constructive impact faithful people can have on public life saying we are built to care for others and shows how this is a crucial aspect of good government. Our willingness to serve more than our self-interest is religion’s gift to politics.
