Dear Friends,

As we all continue to navigate these difficult and anxious days, please know I am holding you all in prayer each day, asking for God’s comfort and peace to be with you. Though we as a church family are not able to see one another in person in the usual ways – worshipping God, sharing in fellowship, serving alongside one another, exchanging a warm handshake or embrace – may we all be strengthened by the bonds of fellowship and of faith that we share.

All in person worship services and other events remain cancelled until further notice. But the life and ministry of our church is vibrant and well and continuing each and every day!

Sunday Worship

We were extremely inspired by the enthusiastic response to our first ever live-stream worship service last Sunday. This Sunday at 10 AM we will again broadcast a live service of worship and warmly invite you to join us in that experience, on our website – or our Facebook page – . My sermon title is “Keeping the Faith During Difficult Times” and the Scripture is Mark 12:28-44 . Our hymns will be Love Divine, All Loves Excelling, and How Firm a Foundation. Click here for a pdf of the worship bulletin including the hymn texts.

Caring for One Another

A congregation-wide check-in will soon begin. We will be checking-in with every member and family over the next 1-2 weeks. Please expect a phone call from someone in your BRPC church family who will ask if there is any assistance you might need.

Need Help? Want to offer Help?

Many have reached out to us and expressed a desire to be of support to others in our church who need assistance with grocery shopping or in other ways. We are also mindful that there are folks who may be lonely, or unable to get to the grocery store or to pick up a prescription, or have other needs. And so if you need help, or want to offer help, please contact your Deacon, or one of the pastors. Feel free to contact either pastor directly: Maureen at or (908) 403-4085, Dennis at or 908-625-6859.

Following last week’s worship service one of the worshippers texted me and asked, “How do you pass the virtual collection basket during a virtual service?” I was moved, amidst all that we are going through, by his desire to give and to share, and to support the work of the church. And so if you are asking the same question, I remind you that you can mail your contribution to the church office at BRPC, 1 E. Oak St, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. You can also make a one time or recurring contribution on our website here. Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness.

Finally, I encourage you to continue to pray for others in our church family, for our community and nation, and our entire world. Let us pray that even now we will have eyes of faith, and see evidence of God’s goodness and love in those places where we did not expect it.

with love and faith,

Reverend Dennis W. Jones
