Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
– Psalm 96:11-12
Please join Stacy Currie, Wednesdays this spring, for fellowship and fun, creating art together. I am looking forward to another fun art program. This year we will be delving into mark making and playing with color and materials. Remember, it’s about the process not the product and of course having fun!
Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.— Pablo Picasso
- March 11 – Mixed media mark making – we will be exploring mark making with watercolor, markers and pencils. Using vegetables and fruits to create shapes and patterns.
- March 25 – Collaging – we will use papers to create an ocean/lake scene
- April 22 – Watercolor circles – explore different size and shaped circles with water and adding bursts of watercolor to them to make an abstract painting.
- April 29 – Watercolor landscapes – we will make a loose watercolor landscape based on a photograph from nature
Additional fun – Making faces – putting down watercolor and finding a face within the colors.
Classes will be 7 – 8:30 pm, in the Church House Parlor
All classes subject to changes*
