This year the holy season of Advent begins on Sunday, December 1, and lasts for four weeks. Advent is a season celebrated in many Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting. It is a time of preparing to celebrate the birth of Christ long ago in Bethlehem, and to celebrate his promise to be born anew into each of our lives and into our world that is so in need of his healing and his hope. Our theme for this Advent is “Story of Promise.”
How have you seen God’s promises fulfilled in your life? What promise of God do you need to hear anew this Christmas?
